Job Description What you'll do Set up and operate production equipment and tooling in a gas turbine manufacturing environment. Perform standard machining operations on metal components using CNC equipment. Follow blueprints, work instructions, and established procedures to produce parts that meet required specifications. Use precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges to inspect work and verify part quality. Support related shop operations such as deburring, blending, part handling, and material movement as needed. Operate material-moving equipment such as forklifts and jib or gantry cranes, as trained. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area while following all compliance and safety requirements. Work collaboratively with teammates and participate in problem solving and continuous improvement efforts. Take ownership of safety, quality, and productivity in your area of responsibility. What you'll bring (Basic Qualifications) High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent. Minimum of 1 year of experience as a manual or CNC machine operator in a manufacturing or machine shop environment, or successful completion of a recognized machinist training program. Experience following work instructions and using basic precision measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers. Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and wear required personal protective equipment, with or without reasonable accommodation. Successful completion of an assessment for the job class, background check, and drug screen. Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. What will make you stand out You have hands-on experience with mills, drills, grinders, lathes, or similar machining equipment.
