Job Description

About the Role We are seeking dedicated Slitting Machine Operators to join our team in Cary. We currently have vacancies available for both the first and second shifts. Candidate Prerequisites Possession of a GED or High School Diploma is considered an asset. Must be at least 18 years of age. At least one year of experience in machine operation, specifically involving setups, changeovers, and troubleshooting, or equivalent hands-on experience with complex automotive mechanical repairs like engine or transmission overhauls. Demonstrated ability to accurately interpret and utilize a standard ruler down to 1/16th of an inch, verified through a mandatory assessment. Ability to maintain a physically active role that involves lifting up to 65 lbs, maneuvering heavy material rolls with assistance, and performing tasks that require squatting, bending, or kneeling while tolerating industrial odors and standing for extended periods. Prior exposure to ISO standards within a manufacturing or industrial setting is preferred. Experience in pharmaceutical, packaging, or lamination sectors is a plus, though we provide comprehensive training for the right candidate. Compensation and Schedule Hourly pay ranges from $20 to $22, determined by your shift and professional background. First shift hours are Monday through Friday, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm. Second shift hours are Monday through Friday, 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm. The facility is located in Cary, IL. Core Responsibilities As a Slitting Machine Operator, you will be responsible for processing materials to ensure the smooth operation of our pouch, lamination, and press departments, as well as fulfilling customer roll stock requirements. Required Competencies Understanding of Large Format Graphics processes. Practical background in packaging operations. Familiarity with automotive manufacturing workflows to ensure production efficiency. Proficiency in shop mathematics to support accurate measurements and calculations.
