As we continue to grow our domestic and international operations, we're looking for motivated, dependable individuals to join our team as Machine Operators, stationed in Gardner, MA. What You'll Do As a Machine Operator, you'll play a key role in producing high-quality paper products by setting up, operating, and monitoring a variety of converting equipment. You'll work in a fast-paced environment focused on safety, quality, and efficiency.
Responsibilities Include:
Set up and operate paper converting equipment, including sheeters, slitters, and crepe streamer machines Load and unload paper rolls using forklifts, clamp trucks, and overhead hoists Thread materials through machines and adjust settings for optimal performance Monitor production equipment and make adjustments to maintain quality standards Perform routine quality inspections, including measuring roll length, weight, and diameter Maintain adequate supplies, including packaging materials and adhesives Accurately complete production and quality documentation Troubleshoot minor operational issues and report maintenance concerns Assist team members by rotating duties and supporting production needs Identify and report product defects, equipment problems, or safety concerns Maintain a clean work environment that meets safety, quality, and food-safe standards Participate in cross-training, continuous improvement efforts, and team development Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) What We're Looking For Previous machine operating experience in a manufacturing environment is helpful but not required Forklift, clamp truck, or overhead hoist experience is a plus Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Basic math and measurement skills Good problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities Ability to work independently and as part of a team Education High school diploma or equivalent preferred Physical Requirements Frequently stand, walk, and move throughout the production facility Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds Use equipment, tools, and machinery safely Work in a manufacturing environment while maintaining safety and quality standards Why Join Seaman Paper?
