Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Wood Milling Labor to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating woodworking machines, handling raw and finished wood materials, and ensuring precision in milling processes of the highest quality material for the most discerning clients in New England. Your energetic approach will contribute to efficient production workflows, maintaining high safety standards and quality control throughout each stage of the milling process. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in woodwork, machine operation, and manufacturing while contributing to the creation of high-quality millwork products. Duties Operate woodworking machinery such as saws and other wood milling equipment with precision and safety awareness Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to accurately cut and shape wood materials according to specifications Use hand tools, power tools, calipers, tape measures, and other measuring devices to ensure accurate cuts and measurements Handle materials safely using forklifts and material handling equipment, adhering strictly to safety protocols Perform routine maintenance on machines and tools to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance Select appropriate materials for various projects, ensuring quality standards are met throughout the process Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety standards in production at all times Qualifications Proficiency in operating saws, woodworking machines, CNC programming, and interpreting technical drawings is a plus Awareness of, and desire to adhere to, safety standards related to manufacturing environments and machine operation Mechanical knowledge related to machine maintenance and troubleshooting is preferred Ability to perform basic math calculations for measurements and material estimations Experience with material handling equipment such as forklifts is preferred; certification is a plus Strong attention to detail with excellent measurement skills using calipers, tape measures, and other precision tools Construction or warehouse experience is advantageous but not required; willingness to learn is essential Join us in creating top-quality millwork products by bringing your passion for woodworking and manufacturing!
