In this vital role, you will operate and maintain extrusion machinery to produce high-quality plastic products efficiently and safely. Your expertise will ensure smooth production processes, adherence to quality standards, and continuous improvement of operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced industrial equipment in a dynamic environment dedicated to innovation and excellence. Duties Set up, operate, and monitor plastic extrusion machines, ensuring optimal performance throughout production runs Conduct routine inspections of machinery, troubleshoot issues, and perform necessary adjustments to maintain product quality and machine efficiency Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to control and automate extrusion processes, ensuring precise operation Perform quality inspections using precision measurement instruments and dimensional measurements to verify product specifications Handle materials safely using forklifts and other warehouse equipment, adhering to all safety protocols Maintain accurate production records, including measurements, process parameters, and defect reports Assist in the setup and calibration of auxiliary equipment such as press brake machines, CNC lathes, and robotic systems for manufacturing tasks Support materials handling activities within the warehouse environment, including inventory management and packaging of finished products Qualifications Proven experience in plastics extrusion or plastics production environment; plastics blow molding or injection molding experience is a plus Mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot industrial equipment such as CNC machines, CNC lathes, press brake machines, and robotic systems Familiarity with machine operation safety protocols and industrial safety standards Ability to perform precision measurements using measurement instruments for quality control purposes Basic math skills for measuring, calculating process parameters, and adjusting machinery settings Experience with materials handling equipment like forklifts; forklift certification is preferred Strong understanding of manufacturing processes including machining, assembly, and quality inspection techniques Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on engineering troubleshooting and process improvement Join us as an Extrusion Technician and become an integral part of a forward-thinking team committed to manufacturing excellence.
