Position Summary We are looking for a Multifilament Extrusion Operator to run our multi-extrusion line producing POY (partially oriented yarn). You'll start up, monitor, and shut down the extrusion machine, keep the line clean and supplied, and help troubleshoot issues to keep production running smoothly. Key Responsibilities Start up, monitor, and shut down the extrusion machine Doff and label POY packages Mount packs and perform machine start-up Prepare chip and bobbins for production Monitor chip flow Clean the winder, extruder, and floor while the machine is running Maintain the production log book Troubleshoot operating issues Additional Duties (as needed) Stack chip boxes Move POY yarn Clean the machine Train new operators Qualifications High school diploma or 2 years of related experience preferred Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide Able to read and understand simple instructions and write simple correspondence Able to use common sense to carry out instructions given in written, oral, or diagram form Preferred Skills Forklift operating experience Mechanical aptitude Physical Requirements Occasionally lift or move up to 50 lbs (sometimes overhead), frequently up to 20 lbs, and constantly up to 10 lbs Visual acuity, including color vision, depth perception, and field of vision Work involves seeing, hearing, talking, balancing, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, and fine finger movements Work Environment Use of general hand tools Exposure to extreme temperatures and noise Exposure to mechanical and electrical hazards and odors

Pay:

$17.00 - $21.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
