Position Summary We are looking for a Monofilament Extrusion Technician to support our process engineers and production manager in running the monofilament extrusion department. You'll oversee daily production when the process engineers are away, lead troubleshooting and preventive maintenance, support start-ups and changeovers, and help train operators, with a focus on safety, quality, and reducing scrap. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily production on the monofilament extruders when the process engineers are not present Assist process engineers with troubleshooting and all other aspects of production Provide technical support and handle logistics for technicians and operators during start-ups, changeovers, and as needed Perform preventive maintenance on all monofilament extrusion equipment as required Complete all required technician paperwork and documentation Help train new and current employees to operate the extrusion lines Work with process engineers, technicians, and operators to improve efficiency and quality and reduce scrap Set an example by promoting safety, quality, and teamwork throughout the department Keep the work area clean and orderly (a clean work environment is a safe work environment) Follow all company policies and perform other related duties as assigned by the process engineers Leadership This role includes leadership responsibilities Qualifications Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide Able to read and understand simple instructions and write simple correspondence Able to use common sense to carry out instructions given in written, oral, or diagram form Preferred Skills Mechanically and/or electrically inclined Strong troubleshooting skills Able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions Able to communicate effectively with engineers and operators Proficient with metric tools Physical Requirements Able to stand and use hands and fingers to handle and feel Frequently required to walk and reach with hands and arms Close vision required Work Environment Noise level is usually loud Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts

Pay:

$17.00 - $21.00 per hour
