Job Title:

Tube Mill Operator Position Summary The Tube Mill Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining tube mill equipment to produce high-quality welded steel tubing in accordance with company specifications and production schedules. This role ensures safe operation, adherence to quality standards, and continuous process improvement within the manufacturing environment.

Duties and Responsibilities of Tube Mill Operator:

Set up and operate tube mill equipment, including entry section, forming, welding, sizing, and cut-off operations. Monitor production processes to ensure product quality, dimensional accuracy, and weld integrity. Perform tooling changeovers and mill adjustments to meet production requirements. Conduct routine quality inspections using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges. Troubleshoot mechanical and process issues to minimize downtime. Perform basic preventative maintenance and coordinate major repairs with maintenance personnel. Maintain accurate production records and complete required documentation. Follow all company safety policies, OSHA standards, and Lockout/Tagout procedures. Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with 5S standards. Communicate effectively with supervisors, maintenance, and quality teams.

Qualifications of Tube Mill Operator:

Minimum 1-3 years of manufacturing experience; tube mill or roll forming experience preferred. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Familiarity with measuring tools and quality inspection processes. Basic computer skills for production reporting systems.

Work Environment of Tube Mill Operator:

This position operates in a heavy manufacturing environment with exposure to moving mechanical parts, high noise levels, heat, and metal materials. Proper personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn at all times.

Compensation & Schedule of Tube Mill Operator:
