Job Description

Job Title:
Roll Forming Mill Operator Celebrating 100 years in 2024 , Plymouth Tube Company is a 5th-generation family-owned manufacturer of Structural Steel Tubing & Engineered Shapes/Metal Extrusions serving OEM customers in Aerospace, Space, Power Generation, and Heavy Equipment. Highly stable. Requires
  • High School Diploma or GED is required. Previous Metal Forming or Fabrication Machine Operation manufacturing experience is required
  • Roll Forming strongly preferred.
Able to u se/interpret typical Measurement Tools like Calipers & Tape measures. Must be able to read, write and perform basic math calculations without difficulty or additional assistance. Must be able to demonstrate strong general mechanical skills. This mill position is expected to achieve targeted results in safety, production output and product quality. Safely operates all Roll Form Tube Mills to exceed or meet productivity and quality expectations. Along with setup and adjusting of all continuous tube weld mills. Advises and assists welding operators on mill operations, setups, and adjustments. May make periodic inspection checks to determine type of adjustments. Completes destructive and nondestructive tube quality checks as required and necessary. Prepares various rolls, clamps, bars, and mandrels for changeovers or replacement. Installs and reconditions electrodes. Maintains perishable tooling and supplies as needed for the mill. Maintains proper operating standards for the tooling and product and records it. Maintains correct and continuous supply of strip steel from storage area to welder. Operates any welder temporarily for relief purposes. Performs the Standard Work Instructions (SWI's) for the Welding Dept. Operates cranes.
Pay:
Starting at $21.25 through 30.00 ( high end offered for actual Roll Forming or Precision Metalworking machinery experience

50 Shift premium in 2nd or 3rd.
Monthly Bonus Potential:
Paid each month based on safety, quality, and delivery goals — up to 10% of monthly pay Pay for
