Job Description

The Hillsboro Hops are seeking energetic, dependable, and team-oriented individuals to join our Broadcast Production Team as Camera Operators for the MiLB streaming broadcast. This is a great opportunity for students, aspiring sports broadcasters, videographers, or anyone looking to gain hands-on live sports production experience in a fast-paced professional environment. Position Overview Camera Operators play a key role in delivering a high-quality live broadcast experience for fans watching Hops baseball on the MiLB streaming platform. Operators will work as part of a collaborative production crew during all home games and select special events at the ballpark. Responsibilities Operate broadcast cameras during live baseball games and stadium events Follow direction from the broadcast producer/director during live productions Capture game action, crowd shots, player reactions, and sponsored elements Maintain focus, framing, and shot composition throughout broadcasts Assist with setup and breakdown of broadcast equipment when needed Communicate effectively with fellow crew members in a live-event environment Represent the organization professionally while working in and around the ballpark Qualifications Interest in sports broadcasting, video production, or live event production Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team Ability to stay focused and react quickly in a live production setting Dependable, punctual, and professional Comfortable working evenings, weekends, and holidays during the baseball season Previous camera or production experience is preferred, but training can be provided for the right candidates Schedule/Compensation Seasonal, part-time position Most shifts occur during evenings and weekends aligned with Hops home games Availability throughout the baseball season is strongly preferred Shifts start approximately 2 hours prior to first pitch Compensation DOE, starting at $100/game What You'll Gain Hands-on experience in live sports broadcasting Opportunity to work in a professional baseball environment Experience with live camera operation and production workflows Networking opportunities within sports and entertainment production Candidates' resumes will be reviewed once submitted to the site.
