In this role, you will operate state-of-the-art press brake machines to bend and form sheet metal components with accuracy and efficiency. Your expertise will help produce high-quality parts that meet strict specifications, supporting our commitment to excellence in manufacturing. Responsibilities Set up and operate press brake machines, ensuring proper tooling and machine calibration for each job. Interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and shop math to determine bend angles, dimensions, and sequence of operations. Program CNC-controlled press brakes for complex forming tasks, optimizing machine performance and precision. Measure finished parts using precision measuring instruments to verify conformance to quality standards. Maintain a clean, organized work area while adhering to all safety protocols and standard operating procedures. Conduct routine maintenance checks on machinery, troubleshoot issues promptly, and coordinate repairs as needed. Assist with the setup and operation of related forming machines, such as stamping presses and forming presses, to support production needs. Qualifications Proven experience operating press brake machines in a manufacturing or metal fabrication environment. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing). Skilled in CNC programming and operation of CNC laser cutting, CNC milling machines, CNC lathe, plasma cutting, electrical discharge machining (EDM), and other machining tools. Familiarity with measurement techniques for quality control using measuring instruments and precision measurement tools. Ability to interpret shop math accurately and apply it during machine setup and part inspection. Knowledge of safety standards in production environments, including proper use of hand tools, tooling, and safety equipment. Capable of working with welding techniques, sheet metal fabrication processes, and assembly tasks as needed. Mechanical aptitude combined with strong attention to detail ensures consistent quality output in a fast-paced setting.
