TBD Job Summary:
Punch press operator configures and operates electric powered presses to cut, shape, and form metal, or other materials used in the manufacturing operations. Performs operations such as blanking, bending, punching, forming based on either blueprints, schematics or other engineering drawings. Will be required to handle raw material and feed material through the press or die.
Requirements Required Skills/Abilities:
Solid understanding of production machinery and proper assembly procedures. Excellent knowledge of manufacturing safety protocols and regulations. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Good physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy pieces of equipment, as well as stand for hours at a time.
Education/Experience Required:
A high school diploma or equivalent qualification. At least 4 years' experience working on an punch press or similar line
Physical Requirements:
Long periods of time standing, stooping, sitting, etc. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
