Full-Time Job Summary:
Are you an experienced fabricator looking to take your career to the next level with a premier local employer? PrideStaff is partnering with a leading, top-tier structural metal and sheet fabrication manufacturer in the DFW area to find a skilled Press Brake Operator to join their growing team. This is an exceptional, stable opportunity to work with high-quality industrial equipment in a modern, safety-conscious production environment. If you take pride in your precision and thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing setting, we want to talk to you!
Key Responsibilities:
Set up and operate industrial press brakes to safely bend, form, and straighten sheet metal stock according to strict blueprint specifications. Read and interpret complex industrial blueprints, structural drawings, and work orders to determine machine setup requirements. Select, change, and align appropriate dies and tooling based on material thickness and specific job dimensions. Conduct first-piece and last-piece quality inspections using precision measuring tools (such as calipers, micrometers, and depth gauges) to ensure part accuracy. Monitor machine operations and apply a strong understanding of metal properties to detect defects or misalignments, adjusting settings as needed. Complete accurate labor reporting, clerical tracking, and inventory documentation using digital shop floor management software. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times while strictly adhering to all OSHA and internal safety protocols.
Qualifications & Special Requirements:
This is a mid-level position, so we are looking for candidates who bring 2 to 5 years of stable experience in sheet metal fabrication or structural metal manufacturing. Strong blueprint reading skills and a solid understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) principles. Excellent shop math skills, including the ability to accurately measure and calculate angles, bend allowances, and dimensions. High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a technical school program or vocational manufacturing training is highly preferred. Experience operating modern CNC machinery (such as Amada or Trumpf press brakes) or utilizing Epicor ERP software is a major plus. Outstanding attention to detail, reliability, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work with limited supervision in a team environment. Why Work with PrideStaff?
