In this role, you will perform a variety of precision assembly tasks for plastic automotive parts, ensuring that all production activities meet high standards for safety, quality, and output.

Key Responsibilities:

Assemble plastic automotive components using manual and power hand tools according to specific work instructions. Operate across various production stations to accomplish assigned assembly tasks. Maintain accurate production logs, records, and reports, specifically noting any product inconsistencies. Monitor inventory levels for tools, parts, and supplies, coordinating with material handlers for replenishment. Perform periodic quality checks to ensure uniform completion and resolve or escalate any identified issues. Cross-train between departments to support business needs and maintain operational flexibility. Adhere to strict safety protocols, including the consistent use of required safety gloves and steel-toe footwear.

Requirements:

Experience:

At least 1 year of experience in the automotive industry or strong transferable mechanical skills from a similar production environment.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent; must be at least 18 years of age.

Technical Skills:

Ability to maintain equipment and perform basic repairs; basic proficiency in mathematics, reading, and writing.

Physical Demands:

Ability to stand for prolonged periods and perform repetitive tasks; must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.

Aptitude:

Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity; must be able to differentiate between colors, wires, and electronic components.

Reliability:

Must be flexible to work weekends and overtime as required by the production schedule.
