Job Title:
Assembler Job Description This role focuses on assembling garbage trucks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will use your mechanical aptitude to follow detailed work instructions, work with various tools, and support warehouse inventory and kitting activities to ensure high-quality finished products. Responsibilities Assemble garbage trucks and related components according to work instructions and production standards. Read and interpret work instructions, diagrams, and kitting programs to complete assigned tasks accurately. Use hand and power tools safely and effectively during the assembly process. Measure and align parts using a tape measure and other basic measuring tools to ensure proper fit and function. Support kitting activities by gathering, organizing, and preparing parts and materials for assembly. Work with inventory within the warehouse, including locating, handling, and returning parts as needed. Inspect work for accuracy and quality, identifying and reporting any defects or issues. Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all safety guidelines and procedures. Essential Skills Proven mechanical aptitude and ability to perform mechanical assembly tasks. Experience using hand and power tools in a manufacturing or similar environment. Ability to read and interpret work instructions and basic technical information. Proficiency using a tape measure and other basic measuring tools. Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate assembly and quality work. Capability to perform general labor tasks in a manufacturing setting. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous experience in mechanical assembly within a manufacturing environment is an asset. Comfort working around warehouse inventory and kitting processes. Ability to follow established procedures and work both independently and as part of a team. Why Work Here? Work Environment This position is based in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing facility. You will work in a hands-on production environment that involves standing, moving, and handling parts and tools throughout the shift. The role includes regular interaction with warehouse inventory, kitting areas, and assembly stations, with a focus on safety and efficient production flow. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of LaFayette, GA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
