Ability to read and write Knowledge of or ability to learn to use various measuring devices Capable of learning to manufacture cable assemblies with direction from Production Supervisor using various disciplines to meet customer requirements. The following are disciplines that an Assembler "C" could be involved with: Swagers Cable cutting Etch Grind Cut Tubing Coil Shrink Strip Package/gov't package Stamp Tag Swage cable ends Lube Responsibilities /
Essential Functions:
Meet quality requirements for jobs which are assigned. Complete the required Quality Control and Traveler paperwork correctly. Find dimensions on drawings for jobs which are assigned. Operate equipment and do limited setups (not including rotary swagers) to manufacture assemblies per customer specification. The manufacture of cable assemblies requires the following physical abilities: Finger dexterity required to manipulate objects with fingers rather than with whole hand(s) or arm(s). Handling by holding, grasping, turning or otherwise working with the hand or hands. Sitting in a normal seated position for extended periods of time. Standing for extended periods of time. Lifting, carrying objects weighing 50 lbs. or less, depending on the discipline. Pushing, pulling objects weighing 30 lbs. or less, depending on the discipline. Knowledge that Continental Cable is an ISO/AS certified company and understands the Quality Policy. Maintain a safe work environment at all times and follow all Continental Cable safety policies including safety glasses, work shoes and all required personal protection equipment. Perform other duties as assigned.
