POSITION SUMMARY

Panda Windows & Doors is seeking a skilled MIG/TIG Welder & Fabricator to perform welding, fabrication, fitting, and assembly of aluminum and other metal components used in the manufacturing of custom window and door systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with MIG and TIG welding , metal fabrication, accurate measurement, cutting, grinding, fitting, and interpreting fabrication drawings. This position requires strong attention to detail and the ability to consistently produce clean, accurate, and structurally sound work while meeting Panda's quality and production standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform MIG and TIG welding according to production and fabrication requirements. Weld and fabricate primarily aluminum components, as well as other metals as required. Read and interpret fabrication drawings, shop drawings, measurements, and work instructions. Measure, mark, cut, fit, and assemble metal components according to required dimensions and tolerances. Set up welding equipment and select appropriate settings based on material type and thickness. Inspect joints and workpieces before welding to ensure proper fit and alignment. Produce clean, consistent welds that meet company quality standards. Grind, sand, clean, and finish welded areas as required. Use fabrication equipment and hand/power tools safely, including grinders, saws, drills, clamps, measuring devices, and related equipment. Verify dimensions using tape measures, squares, calipers, and other measuring tools. Identify defects, incorrect dimensions, damaged materials, or other quality concerns and report them to the supervisor before continuing production. Complete assigned work according to production schedules and priorities. Maintain welding equipment, tools, and assigned work areas in clean and safe operating condition. Follow all company safety procedures, PPE requirements, and OSHA-related workplace safety practices. Properly handle and store welding equipment, compressed gas cylinders, materials, and tools. Work cooperatively with production, assembly, quality control, and other departments. Perform rework or repairs when authorized and required. Perform other related production and fabrication duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Previous professional experience with MIG and TIG welding . Experience welding and fabricating aluminum strongly preferred . Ability to produce clean and consistent welds. Knowledge of metal fabrication techniques and welding preparation. Ability to read a tape measure accurately, including fractional measurements. Ability to read and understand fabrication/shop drawings. Experience using grinders, saws, drills, and other fabrication tools. Ability to properly fit and align components before welding. Strong attention to detail and quality. Ability to work independently and as part of a production team. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Reliable attendance and punctuality.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

2+ years of MIG/TIG welding and fabrication experience. Previous aluminum welding experience. Experience in window, door, architectural aluminum, or similar manufacturing environments. Welding certification or formal welding training is preferred but not required. Experience working from custom fabrication drawings and tight tolerances.

From $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
