This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for coordinating workflow, supporting production operations, developing employees, and helping the team consistently meet customer and operational commitments. Naturally look for ways to improve processes and solve operational problems. Can keep a production environment organized and moving when priorities change. Key Responsibilities Lead and coordinate daily production activities for a team of approximately 6-8 Production Technicians, including work assignments, priorities, and resource allocation. Manage production schedules based on customer demand, inventory availability, and business priorities to support on-time completion of orders. Provide hands-on support for cylinder filling and other production activities as needed. Monitor production throughput, efficiency, quality, schedule attainment, and inventory accuracy, addressing issues and bottlenecks as they arise. Train, coach, and develop production employees while reinforcing expectations around safety, quality, accountability, and performance. Ensure production activities comply with established manufacturing procedures, quality standards, safety requirements, and applicable regulatory requirements. Oversee cylinder inspections, filling documentation, labeling, traceability, and other production documentation requirements. Partner with Operations, Engineering, Purchasing, Warehouse, Quality, and other teams to resolve production issues and support customer commitments. Identify and implement process improvements that enhance safety, quality, productivity, and operational efficiency. Experience & Education Required 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing, production, or industrial operations, including at least 1 year of supervisory or team leadership experience. Experience with compressed gas cylinder filling, industrial gas filling, fire suppression systems, or similar manufacturing operations. Ability to read and interpret production documents, work instructions, and quality standards. Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Preferred Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement experience. Experience in fire protection, compressed gas, chemical processing, or industrial manufacturing.
