Job Description

Lead the 2nd Shift - 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM - Monday through Friday Will train on 1st shift
  • Provide day-to-day leadership and direction for the 2nd shift Production Associates.
  • Review production priorities and ensure the team understands what needs to be completed during the shift.
  • Assign and coordinate work based on production requirements, priorities, and team capabilities.
  • Keep the team focused and productive throughout the shift.
  • Monitor production output and adjust work assignments as necessary to achieve daily production goals.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for production-related questions and issues during 2nd shift.
  • Lead by example through a positive attitude, strong work ethic, accountability, and sense of urgency.
  • Escalate significant production, quality, safety, equipment, or personnel issues to the Production Manager.
  • Provide a clear end-of-shift handoff, including production completed, outstanding work, equipment issues, quality concerns, and other items requiring follow-up. Work Alongside the Production Team This is a hands-on role. The 2nd Shift Production Lead is expected to actively participate in production alongside the Production Associates, including:
  • Cutting and bonding anti-fatigue mats.
  • Measuring and verifying completed mats against specifications.
  • Stacking completed mat sheets.
  • Operating production equipment and tools safely and correctly.
  • Performing basic preventive maintenance and keeping equipment operational.
  • Maintaining an organized, clean, and efficient production environment.
  • Assisting wherever needed to eliminate bottlenecks and achieve the shift's production goals. Quality & Safety
  • Ensure all completed products meet company quality standards and customer specifications.
  • Identify quality issues before products move to the next stage or are packaged for shipment.
  • Reinforce proper production processes and correct issues when standards are not being followed.
  • Ensure all team members follow established safety procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment throughout the shift.
  • Ensure equipment and tools are properly used, maintained, and secured at the end of the shift.
  • Immediately report significant safety, quality, or equipment concerns. Leadership Expectations The 2nd Shift Production Lead is expected to:
  • Take ownership. When something needs to be done, take action rather than waiting for someone else.
  • Lead from the floor. Work alongside the team and set the standard for effort, quality, and attitude.
  • Hold the standard. Do not allow production targets, quality requirements, safety expectations, or workplace standards to slip simply because management is not present.
  • Solve problems. Identify obstacles, make reasonable decisions, and keep production moving.
  • Communicate. Make sure the Production Manager knows what happened during the shift and what needs attention the following day.
  • Develop the team. Help Production Associates improve their skills, productivity, quality, and understanding of company's production processes. Qualifications & Skills
  • Previous manufacturing, production, assembly, or similar hands-on experience required.
  • Previous lead, supervisory, or team leadership experience preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort working with hand and power tools.
  • Ability to read measurements and follow detailed production specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with limited direct supervision.
  • Dependable, timely, and punctual.
  • Ability to hold yourself and others accountable to expectations.
  • Ability to prioritize work and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Capable of lifting 50 pounds unassisted.
  • Able to work on your feet for extended periods.
Pay:
From $38.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
