You are production's point of contact with every other group in the building. When production needs something from engineering, quality, supply chain, tooling, facilities, or the software teams, you are the one who goes and gets it. The environment is low volume, high mix, engineered to order. Production runs frequent shakes that generate long action item lists, and those lists are yours to burn down. You track status, ETA, and owner until each item closes. Nobody on that list reports to you, which is the hard part of the job. Job Responsibilities Interface with engineering, quality, supply chain, tooling, facilities, and digital teams on behalf of production. Run action item burndown from frequent production shakes. Track status, ETA, and owner through to closure. Route system and capability gaps to the correct team, after confirming whether the capability already exists. Verify delivered capability actually works, then fold it into procedure and training. Release work orders to the floor within authorized limits. Support material planning and requisition release. Report status and ETA to production leadership in a form they can act on. Record open items and status in the shift handoff. Required Qualifications Six or more years in production control, planning, or manufacturing operations. Cross-functional coordination experience. Comfortable working across organizations you do not own. Familiar with ERP, PLM, and execution systems. Oracle and Teamcenter preferred. Low volume, high mix, or engineered-to-order environment. Able to run an action item list to closure without letting items age out quietly. Able to read and work from routings, bills of material, work instructions, and drawings. Working Excel for tracking and status reporting. Must be available for all shifts, extended hours, and weekends as needed. Preferred Qualifications MRP or material planning experience. Requisition and purchase order release experience. Shipyard, heavy fabrication, or large complex assembly experience. MES or WMS experience. Experience standing up a new production line or facility. Experience writing or updating procedure and training material. Bachelor's degree in a related field.
