Job Description
- Job Title: General Production Worker
- Job Description
- The General Production Worker supports the safe and efficient processing of propane tanks and cylinders, including loading and unloading trucks, refurbishing tanks, and moving products through an assembly line. This role is very physical and labor-intensive, involving hands-on work in a warehouse and outdoor environment to prepare used propane tanks for resale.
- Responsibilities
- + Load and unload trucks carrying propane tanks and cylinders in a safe and efficient manner.
+ Unload, inspect, organize, and reload tanks and cylinders according to established procedures.
+ Move propane tanks along conveyor belts and through the assembly line process.
+ Bleed tanks as required to prepare them for refurbishing and refilling.
+ Sand tanks, remove labels, and prepare surfaces for painting.
+ Paint tanks and apply new labels to meet quality and safety standards.
+ Assist with cylinder refurbishing, including sanding, relabeling, and general preparation.
+ Support all facets of safe operations of the tank and cylinder manufacturing platform.
+ Follow directions carefully and adhere to all safety guidelines and operational procedures.
+ Maintain a clean and organized work area in both warehouse and outdoor spaces.
+ Work collaboratively with approximately 40 team members on site to meet production goals.
+ Perform physically demanding tasks for the duration of the shift, including repeated lifting up to 40 lbs.
- Essential Skills
- + Previous experience in general labor or warehouse work.
+ Ability and willingness to learn new tasks and follow directions consistently.
+ Strong reliability, positive attitude, and solid work ethic.
+ Capability to lift up to 40 lbs repeatedly in a labor-intensive environment.
+ Comfort working in outdoor conditions while loading and unloading trucks.
+ Ability to perform physically demanding work for an entire shift.
+ Basic understanding of safe work practices in a production or yard environment.
- Additional Skills & Qualifications
- + Experience as a yard worker or general laborer in industrial or warehouse settings. + as a machine operator or in similar hands-on production roles. + Willingness to learn additional operations such as sanding, painting, and welding. + Interest in developing broader skills within a tank and cylinder manufacturing platform.

- Work Environment
- The role takes place in a labor-intensive production facility with approximately 40 workers on site, supporting safe operations of a tank and cylinder manufacturing platform.
You will work in both outdoor areas and warehouse spaces, regularly loading and unloading trucks and moving tanks along conveyor belts. Shifts are structured with a first shift from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, and a second shift from 4:45 p.m. to 3:15 a.m., with no weekend work. The environment is very physical, requiring frequent lifting up to 40 lbs, standing, and manual handling of tanks throughout the shift. Typical attire is practical work clothing suitable for outdoor and warehouse conditions, with appropriate safety gear provided or required as per facility guidelines.

- Pay and Benefits
- The pay range for this position is $20.
50 - $22.50/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your jobclassification and length of employment.
