3-5 years preferred Position Summary We are looking for an experienced Tool Builder / Mechanical Builder to support an on-site manufacturing and assembly program in Grand Blanc, Michigan. The technician will perform precision assembly, inspection, testing, material handling, and documentation activities while following standardized work and strict electrical, high-voltage, and battery-safety procedures. The role is well suited to a mechanically capable technician who takes pride in quality, learns quickly, and works effectively in a team-based manufacturing environment. This position is best suited for someone with a hands-on tool building, machine building, fixture building, or mechanical assembly background. The work involves assembling components and subassemblies according to established drawings, work instructions, and specifications. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, comfortable working with hand and power tools, and able to perform detailed assembly work accurately and consistently. Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical components and subassemblies according to drawings, specifications, and work instructions
• Perform fitting, alignment, fastening, and general mechanical assembly
• Use standard hand tools, power tools, measuring equipment, and shop equipment
• Read and interpret basic mechanical drawings and assembly documentation
• Verify components are assembled correctly and meet dimensional and quality requirements
• Identify and communicate assembly or fitment issues
• Maintain an organized and safe work area
• Follow established quality, safety, and documentation requirements
• Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and project personnel as needed
• Perform other related build and assembly activities as assigned Qualifications
• 3-5 years of experience as a Tool Builder, Machine Builder, Mechanical Builder, Fixture Builder, or similar hands-on manufacturing role
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Experience with mechanical assembly and fitting
• Ability to read basic mechanical drawings and work instructions
• Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and basic measuring equipment
• Ability to perform repetitive and detailed assembly work while maintaining quality
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable attendance and ability to work on-site in Grand Blanc Preferred Background Experience in one or more of the following is beneficial:

Pay:

$35.00 - $40.00 per hour
