Role:
VulcanForms is seeking a Supervisor, Final Release
- Day Shift to lead the Final Release team at its Devens, MA facility.
This on-site position works Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM-3:00 PM. The Supervisor provides daily operational leadership, coordinates staffing and workflow, and ensures manufacturing records, inspections, documentation, and final-release activities are completed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with established procedures, customer requirements, and applicable quality and regulatory standards. This role partners closely with Operations, Program Management, Engineering, Customer Service, Distribution, and other cross-functional teams to resolve release issues and support on-time product delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise the Final Release team, including assigning tasks, setting priorities, monitoring workflow, and ensuring daily commitments are achieved
- Communicate workload expectations, operational objectives, schedule changes, and release priorities
- Monitor team performance, provide coaching and feedback, and reinforce compliance with policies, procedures, and work instructions
- Coordinate staffing and workload based on production priorities and business needs
- Train and support team members on Final Release processes, documentation requirements, quality systems, and procedures
- Oversee manufacturing and technical records through preparation, review, inspection, completion, and final disposition
- Assign and track work-in-progress records through completion
- Ensure accurate review of data entry, manufacturing documentation, technical records, Device History Records, batch records, and final-release documentation
- Ensure batches and products are inspected against applicable specifications and physically verified before final disposition
- Review records for completeness, accuracy, SOP compliance, customer requirements, accreditation standards, and regulatory requirements
- Coordinate correction of missing, incomplete, or inaccurate information
- Ensure variances, documentation errors, deviations, and nonconformances are identified, documented, and escalated appropriately
- Support tracking of nonconformances, deviations, and CAPAs through established Quality processes
- Maintain effective use of ERP, QMS, and other applicable electronic systems
- Represent Quality and Final Release in production planning and prioritization meetings
- Communicate release status, documentation gaps, risks, and schedule impacts to stakeholders
- Escalate issues requiring decisions outside established procedures or the Supervisor?s authority
- Ensure adherence to approved standard operating procedures and controlled work instructions
- Identify opportunities to improve workflow, documentation quality, turnaround time, and Final Release execution
- Maintain operational metrics and communicate performance, workload, backlog, and risks to Quality management
