Responsibilities:

• Oversee incoming, in-process, and final inspection activities, excluding NDT inspections managed by the Responsible Level 3.
• Ensure effective use of inspection equipment, including CMMs, gauges, hardness testers, and other measurement tools.
• Monitor and improve SPC, process capability, defect reduction, and overall process control.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions using 8D, 5-Why, and RCCA methodologies.
• Review and approve NCRs, MRB dispositions, and customer returns, ensuring timely closure of corrective actions.
• Plan and conduct internal audits and serve as the primary quality contact for customer, registrar, and Nadcap audits, where applicable.
• Coordinate audit responses, follow-up actions, and compliance requirements.
• Oversee supplier quality performance, supplier corrective actions, and supplier audits as needed.
• Act as the primary quality liaison for customers, supporting contract reviews, PPAP/FAI submissions, technical reviews, and customer quality issues.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with production, engineering, sales, suppliers, and customers to resolve quality concerns and improve processes.
• Maintain hands-on shop-floor engagement in a manufacturing/foundry environment.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of quality leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of AS9100 and/or IATF 16949, inspection methods, GD&T, SPC, MSA, PPAP, and FAI (AS9102).
• Experience in aluminum casting, machining, or heat-treat operations preferred.
• Proficiency in corrective action systems, including 8D, RCCA, and root cause analysis.
• Experience managing audits and interacting with customers, registrars, and suppliers.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Familiarity with ERP and quality data systems.
• Lean/Six Sigma experience is a plus.
• Strong leadership, analytical, problem-solving, communication, and team-development skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a manufacturing and foundry environment with required PPE and shop-floor conditions.
