Xcel Staffing Solutions is hiring a Quality Inspector for a manufacturing company in Addison, IL. This full-time, temp-to-hire position is ideal for someone with experience using calipers and micrometers, reading blueprints, and inspecting manufactured parts. The ideal candidate will also have knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) and strong computer skills. This role is responsible for ensuring that products meet quality standards through accurate measurement and inspection processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform in-process and final inspections in a manufacturing environment Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings Ensure products meet quality specifications and standards

Preferred Qualifications:

Hands-on experience using calipers and micrometers for dimensional inspection Ability to accurately read and interpret blueprints Experience performing in-process and/or final inspections in a manufacturing setting Familiarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) is a plus

Skills & Abilities:

Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team

Work Environment:

Industrial/manufacturing setting with exposure to noise, dust, and metal particles Requires use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, safety glasses, and ear protection
