Full Job Description Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Quality Inspector to join our team. The Quality Inspector will be responsible for inspecting precision-machined parts using a variety of measurement tools, including a CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine), optical comparator, micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and other precision instruments . This role is critical in ensuring that all parts meet strict quality standards and customer specifications .
Key Responsibilities:
Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections of precision-machined components. Utilize CMM, optical comparators, micrometers, calipers, and other measuring tools to verify part dimensions and tolerances. Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) symbols . Maintain detailed inspection records and documentation in accordance with ISO 9001 and AS9100 requirements. Identify and document non-conformances , assist in root cause analysis, and work with the team to implement corrective actions. Ensure that all measuring and test equipment is properly calibrated and maintained . Work closely with CNC machinists and engineers to ensure parts meet quality standards throughout production. Support continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing principles to enhance quality and efficiency.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Minimum 2-5 years of experience in quality inspection in a CNC machining or manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of CMM programming and operation (experience with [your CMM brand/software] preferred). Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and height gauges. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T symbols . Familiarity with ISO 9001 and AS9100 quality systems . Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills . Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment . Strong organizational and communication skills.
