Job Description

Moldmaker We are seeking an experienced Moldmaker to build, repair, debug, and assemble precision injection molds and tooling for high-tolerance manufacturing. The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver with strong moldmaking, troubleshooting, machining, and fitting skills who can help keep production tooling reliable and production-ready. Key Responsibilities
  • Build, fit, assemble, debug, and repair complex injection molds and precision tooling
  • Troubleshoot tooling issues, identify root causes, and implement effective repairs
  • Perform mold maintenance, precision adjustments, finishing, and final assembly
  • Support new mold tryouts, sampling, and production launch activities
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and 3D models
  • Use SolidWorks to review mold designs and support tooling modifications
  • Partner with engineering, CNC machining, EDM, and quality teams on tooling improvements
  • Provide input on design for manufacturability and mold performance
  • Prioritize repairs and tooling projects to minimize production downtime
  • Mentor apprentices, moldmakers, and machine operators in mold repair and assembly
  • Maintain high standards for quality, safety, craftsmanship, and continuous improvement Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Extensive experience in moldmaking, injection mold building, tool & die, or precision tooling
  • Proven experience troubleshooting and repairing complex molds
  • Strong skills in mold fitting, assembly, debugging, and precision adjustment
  • Proficiency with SolidWorks
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and understand GD&T
  • Strong knowledge of precision machining and manufacturing processes
  • Excellent mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills Preferred Qualifications
  • Mastercam experience
  • Wire EDM or Sinker EDM experience
  • CNC machining experience
  • Injection molding experience
  • Moldmaking apprenticeship, journeyman training, or technical certification
  • Experience mentoring or leading other moldmakers
  • Experience in an ISO-certified manufacturing environment #GRP2
