Depending on qualifications: Title Utah Division of Water Quality Certification Relevant Experience Starting Pay Minimum Starting Pay Maximum Water Operator 1 Distribution Grade 1 within 12 months 0-1 years $21.35 $25.62 Water Operator 2 Distribution Grade 2 2 years $22.41 $27.46 Water Operator 3 Distribution Grade 3 4 years $24.21 $29.65 Water Operator 4 Distribution Grade 4 8 years $25.66 $31.43

Monday -
Thursday:
6:30 am - 5:00 pm, with the possibility of on-call rotations and weekends.

BENEFITS SUMMARY
Full-time Benefits Summary July 2024-June 2025 JOB SUMMARY Performs a variety of skilled duties related to the construction, installation, maintenance and repair of the city storm drain collection system. May operate machinery to clean water systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS
Graduation from high school. Previous experience with underground water systems, equipment placement, residential service locations, easements and right-of-way specifications is preferred. Must have a Utah CDL license or obtain it within 6 months. Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds. Ability to communicate verbally and in writing. Skilled in operating various types of tools and power equipment to perform essential functions;. Ability to develop effective working relationships with supervisor, subordinates and the public. Will be required to pass a drug test and back ground check. Position level depends on experience and State Wastewater Collection Certification. Must obtain State Wastewater Certification Grade 1 within 12 months. Employee must reside within 30 minutes of City Limits (based on average Google Maps drive time) for on-call purposes. Employee can take up to 6 months to relocate within appropriate response time area. Employment in this position is conditional upon passing a pre-employment background and drug test.
