The client company is a fast-paced, precision machine shop operating in a dynamic job shop environment. Their team handles diverse, custom, and short-run projects that require high craftsmanship, problem-solving, and strict attention to detail.

Position Summary:

Precision machine shop in Woburn, MA is seeking an experienced TIG, MIG and Stick Welder/Fabricator to join their manufacturing team ASAP.

Schedule & Compensation Hours:

Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30

Key Responsibilities:

Perform high-quality TIG, MIG and Stick welding on a variety of metals, primarily stainless steel, aluminum, and carbon steel. Read and interpret complex blueprints, engineering drawings, and fabrication schematics to determine dimensions, tolerances, and operational sequences. Set up and operate shop equipment such as press brakes, shears, saws, and grinders to prepare materials for welding. Fit, tack, and weld components to build custom assemblies, weldments, and prototypes to exact specifications. Inspect finished welds and parts for structural integrity, dimensional accuracy, and surface finish quality using precision measuring tools. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace in accordance with shop safety guidelines.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Minimum of 3-5 years of professional welding and fabrication experience within a job shop or custom manufacturing environment. Proficient in both TIG (GTAW), MIG (GMAW) and Stick welding processes across multiple metal types and thicknesses. Demonstrated ability to read blueprints, interpret weld symbols, and use inspection tools (calipers, tape measures, squares). Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills to handle diverse, non-repetitive custom projects. High school diploma or equivalent; technical or welding certification is a strong plus. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
