Job Description

About the role CIS Solar Design is hiring a Fabricator / Welder to run the fabrication bench at our Vero Beach shop. You will build custom brackets, mounts, enclosures, racks, and one-off metal work that supports our mobile RV, marine, and off-grid lithium installations. This is a hands-on tools seat, you will be on the mill, welder, and CNC daily, turning drawings and rough concepts into finished parts that ship out with our install crews. If you take pride in clean welds, tight tolerances, and building things right the first time, this is your bench.

CEO. Based in Vero Beach, FL.
Training and remote work:
The next 2 to 12 months of this role includes a mix of training and production work at our North Carolina facility. Willingness and flexibility to travel to and work from NC during that window is required. Travel is paid. What you will own Custom metal fabrication for solar mounting racks, battery enclosures, inverter brackets, wire management, and vehicle-integration hardware MIG, TIG, and stick welding on aluminum, steel, and stainless Sheet metal layout, cutting, bending, and finishing CNC operation (metal - plasma, mill, or router) for production parts and one-offs Custom fabrication support on RV, boat, van, and bus conversion projects Reading engineering drawings, sketches, and shop-floor plans Bench organization, tool maintenance, and shop safety on your station What we are looking for 3+ years hands-on metal fabrication in a real shop Certified or highly proficient in MIG and TIG welding Comfortable on sheet metal layout, brake, and shear CNC experience (plasma, mill, or router) - willing to learn our specific equipment Reads engineering drawings without hand-holding Takes pride in first-pass quality Available to train and work at our NC facility during the first 2 to 12 months Nice to have Aluminum welding certification 3D printer familiarity
Pay:
$30.00 - $40.00 per hour
