ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This position will be required to work on large pressure vessels from low to high pressures as well as smaller units in a variety of materials and processes to very specific engineering requirements and stringent inspection. To fit and weld ASME pressure vessels per drawings : Will report to Foreman. Knowledge of and experience with GTAW and FCAW welding. SAW a plus. Able to pass 6G open GTAW root on heavy pipe weld test. Follow qualified welding procedures per ASME and customer specifications. Grind and cut as required. Read drawings and weld symbols. Provide QC reports and initial welds as requested. Have or obtain OSHA 10 card.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Positive attitude. Experience in welding out of position and subject to a high level of inspection such as X-Ray and phased array UT. Knowledge of ASME Welding and ASNT is helpful.
PREFERRED SKILLS
5 Years of Experience in a fabrication shop environment. Quick thinking and adaptive responses in a small, agile technical business. Ability to read technical specifications and drawings.
