The Opportunity:
This is an opportunity to put your welding skills to work primarily on aluminum, with additional work in carbon steel, stainless steel, and galvanized steel, for a growing fabrication shop. You'll work hands-on across GMAW and GTAW processes, producing precision welds that meet customer specs and our
ISO 9001
2015 quality standards.

Shift:
5am-3pm Monday-Thursday; Friday overtime as needed ( typically 5-8 hours)
What You'll Do:
Set up and operate welding equipment to fabricate metal projects, primarily in aluminum, as well as carbon steel, stainless steel, and galvanized steel, using GMAW and GTAW processes Complete welds and repairs using MIG and TIG processes Interpret weld symbols and place precise welds; repair weld defects as needed Weld in flat and horizontal positions using GMAW on aluminum, carbon steel, and stainless steel Set up components for welding according to specifications Perform basic weld machine maintenance, including straightening torches and changing wire barrels, contact tips, nozzles, and diffusers Read and interpret precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models Measure work pieces to ensure conformance to specifications Log job information into the computer system Inspect completed welds to ensure they're free of scale, spatter, or other discontinuities Operate overhead cranes Adhere to all safety standards and procedures Perform other duties as assigned
What We're Looking For:
2+ years of hands-on aluminum GMAW welding experience required Working knowledge of welding stainless steel, carbon steel, and galvanized steel Experience grinding with both machines and hand tools Basic math and measurement skills (addition, subtraction, decimal and fraction conversions) Ability to accurately read a tape measure, micrometer, and caliper Ability to read, write, and understand verbal and written work instructions, work orders, and customer specifications Experience interpreting weld symbols Ability to read and interpret blueprints Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis WeldFab Manufacturing is an equal opportunity employer.
