Job Description

New York State Assemblywoman Nily Rozic is recruiting applicants for the position of a Community Liaison - (Chinese (Mandarin) speaking) to help with our Chinese constituents. The position will be served as a full-time role. The Community Liaison serves as the Assemblywoman's representative in her district in Queens.
Duties will include:
Attending meetings organized by community boards, civic associations, and community councils to represent and speak on behalf of the Assemblywoman Staying up-to-date on relevant community concerns to brief the Assemblywoman and staff Responding to community issues and initiating outreach to an extensive network of community based organizations Addressing constituent concerns and maintaining a comprehensive database of constituent cases Lead, assist with the planning and staffing of office events Special community and policy projects on an as-needed basis
Qualifications:
Availability and willingness to work a minimum of 35 hours per week, including occasional weekends• A Bachelor's degree in political science, public affairs, communications, or relevant field preferred. 2-3 years of experience in local government and/or campaigns preferred. Highly organized, thorough, committed, and self-motivated work ethic Exceptional interpersonal skills, writing skills, and ability to work with a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment Fluent in Chinese (Mandarin).
Salary:
40,000-45,000, commensurate with experience. Health coverage and excellent benefits package provided. •Hybrid work schedule may apply to this position•
