We have one (1) position available working four (4) ten-hour shifts. The schedule would be Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday 10AM-8:30PM and Thursday 8:30PM to 7AM. Night shift differential $3.50/hr. The Medical Imaging Tech will perform routine and special medical imaging procedures with accuracy and efficiency while using pertinent modalities within the department. Must have graduated from an approved school of Medical Radiography Technology, be registered with ARRT, and be licensed by the State of Montana. CT experience preferred. POSITION SUMMARY
To perform established Medical Imaging procedures with accuracy and efficiency. To provide a resource of radiological information to clinical consultants and staff. To provide quality Medical Imaging exams (x-ray, CT, dexa) to all referred patients.QUALIFICATIONS
The technologist must have graduated from an approved school of Medical Radiography Technology, be registered with A.R.R.T., and must be certified by the State of Montana. Must have adequate experience under a radiologist and qualified physicians. Must have good working knowledge of anatomy and physiology. Must understand basic principles of physics, as it pertains to radiology. Must have developed methods of exposure for various equipment. Must be able to obtain high quality diagnostic images. Must be able to set up and use both stationery and mobile equipment. Must be able use and understand diagnostic imaging principles and basic principles of PACS and EMR. Must be able to understand variations of anatomical postures and effects on any disabled patient. Must have sufficient knowledge to deal with all types and conditions of patients. Must have current CPR certification.ESSENTIAL DUTIES
: Follows established procedures to perform routine and special imaging procedures assigned. Perform all duties of a Radiology Technologist in an inpatient, outpatient, surgery, and ER setting. Complete all imaging duties in the EMR; this includes documentation, scheduling, and chart review. Call duties as needed for complete coverage within the Medical Imaging Department. Maintain current licenses required under the qualification section. This includes necessary continuing education. Participate in quality improvement projects when assigned to do so.OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES
Assist the Imaging Director in keeping an adequate inventory of supplies. This includes filling out purchase orders and placing orders when the director is unable to do so. Ensure that all daily activities are performed as needed. Demonstrate an elevated level of professionalism during telephone conversations and interactions with patients, physicians, and other health care workers. Aid in the orientation and training of new personnel and students. Support the quality assurance program and implement standards of care and quality assurance criteria for the department. Attend and take part in continuing education programs, in-services, and meetings. Complete all DLMC mandatory training (fire, safety, etc). Supports administrative/management decisions. Reports any complaints or problems to the Imaging Director. Reports verbally or in writing any situation outside normal activities related to patient information, staff performance, or department activities. Help fellow technologists in resolving radiology procedure problems. Performs duties as assigned by the Imaging Director in an effective and prompt manner. Performs other duties as assigned.Job Type:
