Nail Technician -
CCHC Podiatry Position Summary:
This position focuses on providing safe, hygienic, and medically appropriate nail care services to patients under the supervision and guidance of licensed podiatrists. The Nail Technician should be detail-oriented, professional, and comfortable working in a clinical environment serving patients with a variety of foot and nail conditions.Key Responsibilities:
Perform basic and advanced nail care services including trimming, filing, and smoothing toenails in accordance with podiatric best practices. Assist podiatrists with nail debridement, foot soaks, and preparation for medical procedures as directed. Identify and report nail or skin abnormalities (fungal infections, ingrown nails, wounds, etc.) to the supervising provider. Maintain strict infection control and sterilization procedures for all instruments and treatment areas. Document services and patient interactions in the electronic medical record as required. Provide patient education on proper foot and nail hygiene. Support clinic flow by helping prepare treatment rooms, stocking supplies, and assisting patients as needed. Uphold patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and clinic policies at all times.Qualifications:
Current state Nail Technician or Manicurist license (required). Prior experience in a medical or healthcare setting preferred but not required. Knowledge of infection control standards and instrument sterilization procedures. Excellent communication and patient service skills. Compassionate and professional bedside manner. Ability to work collaboratively with clinical staff in a fast-paced environment.Work Environment:
Outpatient clinical setting with weekday hours (no evenings or weekends). Work involves standing for extended periods and occasional lifting up to 25 pounds. Personal protective equipment provided and required during patient care.Job Type:
