Grade 32: $100,562•$122,909 Grade 34: $118,151•$144,372 West Valley Cleanup Alliance is the prime contractor selected by the U.S. Department of Energy to manage the Phase 1B Deactivation & Demolition Contract at the West Valley Demonstration Project site. The site is a scenic 30-minute drive south of Buffalo, New York. In cooperation with the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority, West Valley Demonstration Project continues to decontaminate and decommission facilities at this site. Job Summary / Purpose of Position The Performance Assurance Coordinator IV contributes to the implementation of a structured, effective performance assurance program which supports successful project execution while meeting performance standards, quality metrics, compliance requirements and customer expectations and is responsible for leading independent, management, and work site assessments and program improvement initiatives throughout the organization. The performance assurance program is critical to an overall effective Integrated Safety Management System (ISMS). Minimum Qualifications Education / Experience Grade 32: BA/BS in quality management, engineering, business administration or other technical degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to performance assurance. Minimum of six (6) years of related experience in performance assurance program implementation, to include issue/event investigation, causal analysis, planning and conducting assessments/audits, and developing/maintaining metrics for continuous improvement. Grade 34: BA/BS in quality management, engineering, business administration or other technical degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to performance assurance. Minimum of ten (10) years of related experience in performance assurance program implementation, to include issue/event investigation, causal analysis, planning and conducting assessments/audits, and developing/maintaining metrics for continuous improvement.Licenses / Certifications

Major Responsibilities / Scope of Work Maintain a safe and healthful work environment by following established safe work practices and procedures; including following all safety rules, using proper personal protective equipment (PPE), investigating and reporting identified safety concerns or situations. Provide advanced performance assurance expertise, assistance, and support for the operations and activities within the organization. Provide support for the implementation and continued compliance with DOE Order 226.1B by adhering to an effective Contractor Assurance System process and reporting andDOE O 232.2A
for Occurrence Reporting. Assist with planning and implementing a broad range of assignments supporting, monitoring, assessing, analyzing, and reporting organizational performance. Assist with the development of performance indicators for the measurement of project performance. Develop and periodically review or revise Performance Assurance/ISMS policies, charters, written description, performance metrics, and employee communications. Support the preparation of the annual ISMS Performance Assurance/ISMS assessments using ISMS core/guiding principles, Key Attributes of the Safety Management Program, EMS targets and objectives, POMCs, metrics, and other issues resulting from issues or trends. Promote Performance Assurance/ISMS objectives and guiding principles in the workplace by assisting in the development of Performance Assurance/ISMS training objectives and providing training to sustain program performance and Safety Assessment Center administration. Identify organizational systems, processes, and personnel improvement needs by conducting related assessments and evaluating and summarizing results. Promote the integration of safety across projects and facilities by participating in or leading various safety teams or committees and development of Lessons Learned and Safety Shares. Ensure best practices are shared throughout the organization and effective corrective actions are implemented to address identified weaknesses. Collaborate with managers and employees to create sustainable data development strategies for the collection, organization, and management of data which meets the needs of Performance Objectives, etc. Collect, input, analyze, and interpret statistical data and prepare monthly, annual, and other reports related to performance assurance, ISMS, and other areas as needed. Provide outcome data useful to inform leadership for decision-making purposes and communicate data to a variety of audiences as requested. Independently perform thorough event investigations through research, procedures, and personnel interviews, and report as a Fact Finding and/or Occurrence Report. Ensure all training and qualifications are up to date, attend educational workshops, and participate in professional societies. Essential Functions Interpret and follow a wide variety of guidelines, policies, laws, and established practices to accomplish complex tasks. Use judgement to perform, identify, and analyze diverse work control responsibilities involving different and unrelated processes and methods. Interpret policies and procedures to effectively communicate and train employees in understanding and/or implementing performance assurance processes. Develop and write effective policies, procedures, manuals, and training documentation relating to functional activities for department and site personnel. Isolate and define unknown conditions, resolve critical issues, or develop new theories according to industry principles, theories, and laws. Analyze and prioritize the work of junior performance assurance coordinators to ensure work is completed effectively and efficiently to meet individual and project commitments. Provide direction to the functional team, coordinate work, troubleshoot problems, make recommendations, and implement corrective actions.
