Grade 27: $68,757•$84,019 annually Grade 29: $79,619•$97,312 annually West Valley Cleanup Alliance is the prime contractor selected by the U.S. Department of Energy to manage the Phase 1B Deactivation & Demolition Contract at the West Valley Demonstration Project site, located approximately 30 minutes south of Buffalo, New York. In cooperation with the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority, the project continues to decontaminate and decommission facilities at the site. Job Summary / Purpose of Position The Project Coordinator is responsible for providing technical support and oversight to programs to ensure technical excellence and completeness in all program elements and deliverables. Key responsibilities are planning, coordinating, and supporting programs to ensure they are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with organizational goals Minimum Qualifications Education / Experience Grade 27 BA/BS in business, construction management, engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience Grade 29 BA/BS in business, construction management, engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience Minimum of two (2) years related experience Other Requirements Excellent organizational skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Exposure to basic scheduling and cost baseline fundamentals, concepts, and principles is preferred. Major Responsibilities / Scope of Work Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following established safe work practices and procedures; investigating and reporting identified safety concerns or situations. Adhere to standards contained in the Company "Code of Conduct," Company EEO practices, and DOE directives. Track project progress and manage and maintain project documentation. Assist Control Account Manager (CAM) with forecasting costs, tracking expenses, and investigation project cost variances. Assist CAM with invoice alignment with contract requirements and monthly accruals Assist CAM with charging authorizations and open/closure of job numbers. Assist Procurement to support the Decontamination and Decommission (D&D) team and the continuity of field work. Identify and investigate project schedule variances and work with managers to implement corrective actions. Assist with data collection, updating, and producing scheduling reports. Review and understand engineering, procurement, decontamination/decommissioning schedule logic. Develop knowledge of scope control, change management, and earned value methodology. Assist in the preparation of project management briefings and reports.
Essential Functions:
Use judgment in locating and selecting the most appropriate guidelines, references, and procedures. Follow detailed written and verbal instructions from management to perform assigned task according to established procedures. Execute a limited scope of specific project analyst practices affecting the accuracy, reliability, or acceptability of further processes or services. Interface with employees in the department, project team members, managers, and customers. Plan, coordinate, or advise on work efforts and resolve problems toward mutuals goals.
