This role is vital in shaping the musical atmosphere of our church services, fostering spiritual growth, and nurturing the musical talents within our congregation. The ideal candidate will bring a lively energy, a deep love for worship music, and a strong commitment to guiding both choir and instrumental teams in creating meaningful worship experiences. As a key leader within our nonprofit faith-based organization, you will cultivate a welcoming environment that encourages musical excellence, spiritual connection, and community engagement. Responsibilities Direct the Choir of Grace and Bells of Grace rehearsals, focusing on musical excellence and authentic worship. Utilize knowledge in directing and conducting techniques, music theory, and vocal coaching to achieve desired musical effects. Recruit new participants and encourage broad participation in all music ministries, developing new groups and ensembles. Cultivate a sense of community and spiritual service among choir members and strengthen worship teams Additional Duties include the following: Coordinate and help develop both contemporary and traditional worship ministries, including weekly services and seasonal services (e.g., Advent, Christmas, Easter). Work with the Pastor and Choir to select and recommend appropriate music and worship arts that support weekly worship themes. Skills Proficient skills as a director Experience directing adult church choirs Bachelor's degree in music or its equivalent. Experience directing a bell choir preferred. A personal faith that finds expression in music and worship ministry. Ability to help others develop their musical and worship leadership gifts.
