Pay Rate:
$35/hr - $40/hr (DOE)
Job Description:
The Planet Group is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive professional to support and manage programs and operational functions within a finance and administration environment. This role is responsible for administering day-to-day activities, supporting procurement and vendor management processes, and providing analytical and organizational support to ensure effective program execution. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, the ability to multitask, and a proactive approach to managing responsibilities while working both independently and collaboratively.
Responsibilities:
Administer, support, and manage day-to-day activities of assigned programs or functions Identify and execute tasks and objectives, making recommendations that may impact policies and programs Collect, analyze, and interpret data; prepare reports and explain trends Develop, revise, and implement procedures based on policy analysis Serve as a key point of contact and subject matter expert for assigned functions Coordinate and participate in outreach efforts, including communications, events, and training initiatives Draft, edit, and review documents, reports, and communications, ensuring accuracy and consistency Manage calendars, resolve scheduling conflicts, and arrange travel in compliance with policies Monitor reporting processes and ensure accuracy; process requisitions as needed Support commodity management activities (e.g., temporary labor, linens, laundry, footwear) and provide backup support as required Assist with procurement initiatives, including vendor identification, RFQs/RFPs, bid evaluations, and supplier negotiations Contribute to continuous improvement of procurement and sourcing processes
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination Strong ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities Excellent organizational and time management skills Proven ability to take initiative and own projects Effective written and verbal communication skills Sound judgment and independent decision-making ability Ability to work both independently and collaboratively Relevant subject matter knowledge Ability to direct or coordinate the work of others, where applicable Regular desk-based computer work Frequent standing, walking, and light manual tasks Occasional telephone use Rarely lift or move objects weighing 11-20 pounds
