Job Description
Position Summary Join a mission-driven team supporting the safe, secure, and efficient operation of nuclear and DOE-regulated activities. In this role, you'll help strengthen our Quality Assurance (QA) program by developing, implementing, and maintaining procedures that uphold the highest industry standards. You'll work collaboratively across teams to ensure compliance with the Quality Assurance Program Description (QAPD) as well as U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) regulations. What You'll Do
- Build hands-on expertise by performing a range of well-defined Quality Assurance tasks and applying industry-leading standards and practices.
- Prepare QA documents, procedures, and guidance while serving as a trusted resource to project personnel at all levels.
- Conduct monitoring activities and assessments to verify compliance with site or group procedures.
- Maintain and manage the supplier program, conduct audits and annual evaluations, and oversee supplier activities on and off site.
- Present findings and recommend corrective actions to line management.
- Inspect materials and equipment to ensure they meet purchase order and quality requirements.
- Lead internal and external audits, track findings, and verify corrective actions.
- Prepare audit schedules, discipline activity plans, and comprehensive audit/assessment reports.
- Provide training, direction, and coaching on quality-related matters.
- Support maintenance of QA records throughout all program phases.
- Deliver technical, administrative, and functional support to the management team.
- Help guide employees on performance expectations and proper work methods.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety by working in full compliance with approved policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Perform other duties and tasks as assigned. What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's degree in a technical or engineering field, or equivalent education and experience.
- Four or more years of experience in a NRC, DOE, military, or closely related regulated environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) and Adobe for documentation, reporting, and data management.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE "Q" level security clearance.
What Will Make You Stand Out:
- Current DOE "Q" or "L" clearance.
- Experience at an NRC-regulated site.
- Demonstrated success in roles requiring precision and attention to detail.
- Relevant ASQ certifications.
- Lead NQA‑1 Auditor certification.
- Strong understanding of NQA‑1 and
DOE O 414.1D
requirements.- Military experience.
