In this role, you'll utilize your extensive nursing skills to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. Your expertise will help improve health outcomes, support recovery, and enhance the quality of life for individuals of all ages. Duties Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history reviews using advanced EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Epic or Cerner. Administer medications and injections safely, including IV infusions and botulinum toxin treatments, following aseptic techniques and HIPAA regulations. Perform specialized procedures such as suturing, catheterization (urinary and vascular), tube feeding management, and wound care including ostomy care. Manage acute pain and provide critical care interventions in high-pressure environments like ICU or Level I Trauma Centers, ensuring optimal airway management and ventilator support. Coordinate patient care plans through case management, discharge planning, and collaboration with physicians in outpatient clinics or hospital settings. Assist with diagnostic evaluations including laboratory specimen collection/processing, radiology procedures like mammography or sonography, and infection control practices. Educate patients and families on health coaching topics such as geriatrics, dementia care, palliative medicine, or chronic disease management to promote wellness at home or in assisted living facilities. Experience Proven experience working in fast-paced environments such as emergency rooms, ICU units, or trauma centers with Level I or Level II trauma designation. Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth or eClinicalWorks for accurate medical documentation and coding (ICD-10/ICD-9). Hands-on experience in diverse specialties including medical-surgical nursing, pediatrics (including neonatal ventilator management), geriatrics (including MDS), behavioral health, or hospice & palliative medicine. Critical care experience in acute settings such as cardiac catheterization labs or post-operative recovery units is highly valued. Skilled in performing complex procedures like spinal taps, gastrostomy tube placements, sonography-guided interventions, or sterile processing techniques. Knowledge of Workers' Compensation law and occupational health protocols to support injured workers' recovery processes. Ability to work with individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities across community care settings such as home & community care programs or long-term care facilities.
