Per Hour DOE Position Summary:
The Restaurant Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all front-of-house dining operations within a private club setting, ensuring an exceptional and personalized experience for members and their guests. This role requires a polished, service-driven leader who understands the nuances of club culture, anticipates member needs, and delivers consistent, high-level hospitality. The Restaurant Manager will lead service training, establish and uphold standards, and foster a welcoming, refined atmosphere across all dining outlets, including the main dining room, bar, and snack bar.
Key Responsibilities:
Member Experience & Service Excellence Deliver a highly personalized dining experience by actively engaging with members and guests, building relationships, and anticipating preferences. Regularly visit tables to guide the dining experience, ensure satisfaction, and uphold the club's service standards. Lead and execute ongoing service training programs focused on refined, anticipatory service. Maintain a visible and approachable presence on the floor during service periods. Standards & SOP Development Create, implement, and continuously refine Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) aligned with private club expectations. Establish and enforce elevated service standards, ensuring consistency across all dining outlets. Uphold the club's culture, traditions, and expectations in all aspects of service. Operations & Inventory Management Oversee ordering and inventory of all restaurant supplies to support seamless daily operations. Manage procurement and inventory control of beer, wine, and spirits, maintaining quality and cost efficiency. Ensure proper storage, handling, and presentation of all food and beverage items. Team Leadership & Development Lead all aspects of staffing, including hiring, onboarding, training, and mentoring team members. Provide continuous coaching and professional development to elevate service performance. Address employee relations with professionalism, including disciplinary action and termination when necessary. Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and hospitality excellence. Scheduling & Outlet Oversight Develop and manage staff schedules based on service levels, member usage patterns, and event demands. Oversee operations of the snack bar, ensuring it reflects the same level of quality and service as the main dining areas. Manage labor efficiently while maintaining service standards. Hands-On Service Leadership Support daily operations as needed by working behind the bar or serving tables during peak periods or staffing shortages. Lead by example, demonstrating professionalism, attention to detail, and exceptional service. Events, Banquets & Club Functions Partner with the Events Department to execute banquets, private events, and club functions. Assist with planning, staffing, and service execution to ensure seamless, high-quality member experiences. Ensure consistency of service standards across both a la carte dining and event operations.
Qualifications:
Minimum 3-5 years of restaurant or hospitality management experience, preferably within a private club, resort, or fine dining environment. Strong knowledge of food and beverage operations, including beer, wine, and spirits. Proven leadership ability with experience developing high-performing teams. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on member relations. Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and club events.
