About the role:
As an LTL Operations Representative at OpenRoad Global, you will be responsible for ensuring operational excellence through managing the day-to-day operations for our LTL enterprise accounts, as well as freight classification and pricing for quote requests sent in. LTL Operations Representatives are responsible for maximizing profitability by selecting the proper LTL carrier and service level option for each shipment. They are responsible for identifying, communicating, and resolving issues that arise pertaining to their loads. LTL Operations Representatives are an ambassador of ORT in every aspect of their role and are required to uphold our high level of service internally with our teams and externally with our customers and carriers.Responsibilities:
- Understand growth strategy, goals, commitments, policies, pricing agreements, and struggle points of all assigned accounts.
- Accept and push load tenders through EDI, if necessary.
- Schedule the pickup with the shipper & book the appropriate carrier on the load.
- Identify potential problems and devise necessary solutions; escalate as needed.
- Communicate all transit delays, both carrier and customer rate discrepancies, and other issues that arise effectively and promptly to the proper customer contacts or ORT reps.
- Determine freight class of the commodity and take into consideration when quoting internally and externally to get accurate rates.
- Identify whether customers with heavy and/or consistent freight volume would be suited for possible customer-specific pricing.
- Collaborate with team members and managers to grow and improve processes for all assigned accounts.
