Reynolds Account Manager Position -
Rutland, Vermont Our Company:
For over 150 years, Reynolds and Son, Inc., Vermont's largest, privately-owned industrial supply company, has been making customers more successful by building, fulfilling, and maintaining supply solutions. Reynolds powers essential operations for regional businesses ranging from light and heavy manufacturing, food and packaged goods production, and machining and fabrication companies; to aerospace and automobile manufacturing. Job Description We are looking to add a full-time, experienced industrial outside sales representative to the team. This Account Manager role will cover the legacy territory of existing customers based in Southern Vermont. This includes the counties of Addison, Bennington, Rutland, Windham, and Windsor. This person would work through multiple service channels to consistently provide an elevated level of customer service. Would match products and solutions to customer needs that help them get the job done. Drive sales growth by engaging in actions that identify leads to further selling opportunities with every customer, as well as the ability to locate and nurture new customers within the region. Job Components This full-time position is based out of our sales office at 56 Howe Street, Rutland, Vermont. The regular work week is Monday through Friday. This position reports to the Vice President of Sales for career development and performance review. Job Description You'll meet and work with some of the most prestigious, successful, and innovative businesses in the region. At the end of the day, our job is to make sure customers have what they need to keep their operations running smoothly. You will play a key role in this mission by getting to know your customers' needs inside and out and helping them build a planned spend strategy that keeps their shelves stocked at all times.
Your role will:
  • Provide service to existing customers in the Southern Vermont territory.
  • Proactively act to understand customer needs, identify solutions, and deliver targeted strategies.
  • Promote and sell our product lines and solutions to grow our managed inventory programs and overall sales.
  • Meet revenue, sales call, and reporting goals.
  • Collaborate with sales team members to design and deliver on sales solutions.
  • Communicate with and engage customers for the highest levels of satisfaction.
  • Effectively leverage the company's resources.
  • Help existing and new customers understand the Reynolds difference.
Required Qualifications for
Consideration:
  • 5+ years of outside sales experience in a related industry
  • Possess a current, valid driver's license as well as the ability to meet our driving record requirements to use a company vehicle
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with diverse groups of people at all levels of a customer's organization
  • Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Demonstrate our core values of service, innovation, professionalism, and teamwork
  • Occasionally required to lift, slide, carry and lower packages that typically weigh 25lbs-50lbs
  • Exhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision-making skills
  • Highly motivated, self-directed and customer service oriented
You Will Excite Us If You Have:
  • Associate's degree in business, communications, or a related field, and/or related industry experience and knowledge of the local market
  • Extensive knowledge of MRO (Maintenance, Repair, Operational) products. Reynolds offers competitive, full-time compensation and benefits package
  • Annual base salary: $75,000 plus commission, with no cap on commission earnings.
