Overview We seek a high-performing business developer with direct access to hotel owners who can identify genuine PIP and renovation projects and turn essential hotel FF&E expenditures into capital solutions. This is not a traditional furniture sales role. Responsibilities Directly develop business with hotel owners, hotel ownership groups, developers, asset managers and family offices. Proactively identify hotel projects with upcoming PIPs, renovations, conversions, repositioning or FF&E replacements. Build and continuously update a target list of hotel ownership groups and priority projects. Establish direct relationships with decision-makers such as principals, presidents, CFOs and asset managers, and arrange owner meetings. Quickly qualify projects by confirming the hotel brand, room count, PIP timing, renovation schedule, FF&E budget, procurement timing and decision-maker. Clearly explain the value of FF&E leasing for cash flow, financing capacity, capital allocation and potential tax planning. Independently advance projects from lead to qualified opportunity, proposal, negotiation, contract and closing. Work with the Head of Hospitality FF&E Leasing and Strategic Partnerships on large or strategic projects. Generate repeat business from owners of multiple properties, turning individual projects into long-term accounts. Attend company-designated hospitality conferences, owner events and trade shows, and promptly follow up on high-quality leads provided by the company. Maintain accurate CRM records, pipeline updates, forecasts and next steps. Report concrete project progress rather than vague statements that a client is interested. Qualifications Five to ten years or more of relevant experience preferred in hospitality business development, hotel owner relations, hotel finance, hotel management, hospitality brokerage, FF&E or procurement, hotel renovations or PIPs, or a related field. Established, verifiable relationships with hotel owners or hotel ownership groups. Direct access to decision-makers such as principals, presidents, CFOs and asset managers, beyond junior-level contacts. Practical experience originating and closing B2B projects, with the ability to manage million-dollar transactions independently. Strong execution, disciplined follow-up and a clear focus on results, with a willingness to invest sustained effort in building relationships and converting them into revenue. Willingness to travel throughout the United States. Furniture industry experience is not required. We place greater value on access to hotel owners, industry relationships and demonstrated closing ability than on traditional furniture sales experience.
