What they do

A Head Cashier manages all checkout functions including ensuring adequate staffing levels on checkouts, the processing of sales transactions and refunds, monitoring cash drawer amounts and maintaining the checkout area. Head cashier provides first level escalation for customer issues and assists in the supervision and training of cashiers. Head cashier may also be responsible for opening or closing procedures of a store, including alarm operation, unlocking store and setting up of checkout area.

Starting Rate:
$11.70 an hour + tips
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Facilitates the transactions between the guest players, cashing slot tickets, and/or chips, promotional vouchers and cashing checks. 2. Performs all functions in accordance with federal or state laws and gaming regulations, statutes, the mission statement and objectives of the organization, as well as established policies, procedures and controls. 3. Make currency exchange. 4. Cash out guest slot tickets. 5. Draw money from the vault. 6. Verify vendor slot tickets. 7. Process personal checks. 8. Process promotional vouchers and coupons. 9. Adheres to all regulatory, departmental, and casino policies and procedures, and to Minimum Internal Control Standards (MICS) and Tribal Internal Control Standards (TICS). 10. Completes the necessary paperwork and training to comply with federal currency transaction reporting requirements (Title 31). 11. Must follow all guidelines to ensure
MTL & CTR
verifications are complete for any transactions over $1200.00. 12. Oversees and directs cage cashiers.

EDUCATION
High School diploma or
GED. EXPERIENCE
Customer service, 10 key, and computer skills.
LICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS
Be able to obtain/maintain Eastern Shawnee Tribe of Oklahoma gaming license.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
May be required to stand and/or walk for long periods of time. Must be able to lift up to 20lbs. Must be able to stretch, bend, kneel, twist and reach. Must be able to read, write and speak basic English Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Ability to maneuver in the casino, visual acuity to observe and react to handle customer questions and complaints. Work in a fast paced environment.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
We maintain an alcohol/drug-free workplace. Work in casino operations containing second hand smoke, high noise level and bright lights. Must be able and willing to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed. Mathematical and cash counting skills.
