OVERVIEW
Ace Pickleball Club, LLC (APC) is a fast-growing sports company with a network of premium indoor pickleball clubs dedicated to delivering an exceptional playing experience for all skill levels. APC is committed to growing the sport of pickleball by inspiring new players, leading player development, and providing the optimal playing experience so our members can learn, play, and compete. The Player Development Associate is responsible for facilitating and delivering engaging pickleball clinics and instructional programming for new players and members of all skill levels. This role is responsible for maintaining a positive and encouraging learning environment by assisting members in performing different drills, techniques, and other skill-development activities. This role serves as a core function of the membership experience by directly working with new players and members to build confidence and deepen their connection to the club.RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and facilitate APC approved clinics and programming for new players and members of all ages and skill levels.
- Ensure clinics begin and end on time while maintaining a safe and organized environment.
- Build meaningful relationships with members and encourage continued participation in club programming.
- Learn member and new player participant names and always provide a personalized experience.
- Prepare courts, equipment, and instructional materials before each clinic to ensure an on-time start.
- Promote ongoing development opportunities and programming for new players.
- Generate new membership through positive interactions with clinic participants and guests.
- Ensure court area is cleaned and ready for member use upon the conclusion of scheduled clinics.
- Promote upcoming clinics, Championship Series tournaments, and special events.
- Support club management in achieving new player participation and membership growth goals.
- Support overall Club operations during downtime or as business needs require.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High level of professionalism and excellent communication skills.
- Previous sports facilitation or instructional experience is preferred.
- Ability to exercise patience and sound judgment while adapting instruction to meet individual learning styles and abilities.
- A positive and engaging approach to delivering great guest service.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Take pride in upholding company standards.
- Strong adherence to club policies and procedures.
- Ability to exercise discretion, emotional intelligence, and good judgment when addressing conflicts or unexpected situations.
- Comfortable using computers and technology is a plus.
- Previous sports facilitation or instructional experience is preferred.
