Required Years of Experience 0-1 years Job Details Who we are: A Cheese Affair is a new upscale cheese boutique that opened in Rice Village in Fall 2025. We are bringing an exciting new cheese experience to Houston and we would love for you to join our team.
What is the opportunity:
This is a ground floor opportunity with both great learning and growth potential ! We are the first transatlantic members of the French Federation of Cheese Boutiques and your training will be significant.
What are we looking for:
We are looking for someone who is sales oriented, people friendly, pro-active, and detail oriented.
And of course you must:
- Love cheese
- Take pleasure giving extraordinary customer service
- Like learning everything that is important in your new line of work Some responsibilities Ensure that customers have a fantastic experience, help them select their cheeses, and give them recommendations based on their taste preferences and needs
Promote excellent sales levels

Promote a positive and pro-active work environment
Develop familiarity with our cheeses
Maintain excellent product display
Cut, wrap and present our products well
Awareness of the freshness and quality of our inventory, watch shrinkage closely
Opening and closing duties, cash register management, maintain excellent store cleanliness
Enforce health, safety and sanitation protocols for handling cheese, wine, and our other groceries About you: You are excited to help make this gourmet cheese shop a local Houston hotspot
You have flexibility for weekends, holidays, and variable retail hours
You have a passion for cheese, artisan food and the culinary gratification of our customers
You are pro-active, friendly and promote great customer service
You are organized and a self-starter with excellent communication abilities and a great attitude
You are comfortable with the physical aspects of the role: standing, lifting heavier cheeses, and working a long day
