In this vital role, you will handle a mix of daily facility upkeep, sanitation, and specialized store tasks—including professional fish cleaning and processing for our customers. Your proactive approach, strong work ethic, and friendly demeanor will help create a positive, authentic shopping atmosphere for our staff, visitors, and loyal community.
Key Responsibilities Customer Service & Specialty Tasks:
Perform custom fish cleaning and preparation services efficiently for customers with a friendly, helpful attitude.
Store & Facility Maintenance:
Perform thorough cleaning of floors, windows, restrooms, and shopping areas to ensure the highest retail hygiene standards.
Sanitation & Safety:
Regularly disinfect high-touch surfaces, handle chemical cleaning agents safely, and adhere to strict food-safe and retail sanitation protocols.
Equipment Operation:
Operate janitorial and store equipment safely, including vacuums, floor care tools, and specialized cleaning or processing gear.
Heavy Lifting & Stock Support:
Handle heavy lifting tasks, assist with restocking or organizing inventory, and maintain clean indoor and outdoor spaces.
Supply Management:
Ensure all cleaning supplies, tools, and store materials are properly stored, maintained, and replenished as needed.
Skills & Qualifications Retail & Convenience Store Passion:
A genuine interest in learning and growing within a busy local grocery, restaurant supply, and specialty retail environment.
Janitorial Experience:
Proven cleaning, floor care, and sanitation experience in a commercial, retail, or food-service setting.
Specialty Skills:
Comfort or willingness to learn professional fish cleaning, handling, and seafood prep standards.
Physical Stamina:
Ability to perform manual handling tasks, heavy lifting, and stand for long shifts.
Customer-Facing Attitude:
Strong interpersonal skills with a welcoming, professional demeanor when interacting with daily shoppers.
Safety Mindset:
Knowledge of proper chemical handling, infection control standards, and personal protective equipment (PPE).
Pay:
