Overview We are seeking a dedicated Part Time Sales Associate to join our team at Store 97 in Brentwood, MO. This role offers an excellent opportunity to engage with customers, provide expert product knowledge, and contribute to a welcoming shopping experience. The ideal candidate will be energetic, customer-focused, and eager to support store operations through sales and merchandising activities. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products or answering inquiries with professionalism. Operate the cash register efficiently, handling retail sales transactions accurately and responsibly. Conduct product demonstrations and upselling to enhance customer satisfaction and sales performance. Maintain stock levels by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring merchandise is well-presented. Process retail transactions using POS (Point of Sale) systems while handling cash, credit cards, and other payment methods securely. Provide excellent phone etiquette when assisting customers via phone or online inquiries. Support merchandising efforts by arranging products attractively and ensuring compliance with store standards. Skills Proven experience operating POS systems and managing retail sales transactions. Supervising experience or leadership skills to support team efforts when needed. Ability to perform product demos confidently and educate customers about merchandise. Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customer bases effectively. Strong communication skills coupled with excellent phone etiquette. Knowledge of retail math for cash handling, balancing registers, and making accurate change. Familiarity with merchandising principles, stock management, and retail store product knowledge. Ability to perform basic math calculations quickly and accurately for sales and inventory purposes.
